Dominik was born in Germany and now lives in his favorite place: New York City.
His journey started quite differently. As a teenager, he had set out to become a professional race car driver, traveling Europe’s race tracks between the ages of 14 and 20. Much to the joy of his terrified parents, he ultimately decided to switch gears and studied International Business and Marketing at the Cologne Business School, while also receiving a degree from the Berlin School of Journalism. He later added an Executive MBA with distinction from the Maastricht School of Management.
At the age of 20, Dominik became the youngest founder of a non-profit organization in Germany - and has since raised awareness and funds for kids in Brazil, Haiti, and Nepal; seeing education as the single most important key to unlocking children’s full potential and ending the cycle of poverty.
Before arriving in NYC, Dominik spent time in the advertising industry working for BBDO. He was lately the Head of Strategy and a member of the firm’s executive leadership team for Interbrand, the world’s largest brand consultancy. Dominik since joined cg42, based in SoHo, New York, as a Partner and is determined to help build one of the world’s most recognized boutique strategy firms. Dominik has lived and worked in London, Zurich, Luxembourg, Germany and the United States.
If you ask him what he's passionate about, he'll give you a simple answer: People.
The emotional and societal impact brands have on people's lives is what drives Dominik's thinking. He has always had the ambition to search for smart and bold ideas that shape the way we think, behave and - ultimately - create a more enjoyable world to live in.
Dominik has spoken at many events and at many leading Universities, published the book "Cause Branding - how doing good creates value for both corporations and society" and authored articles for various magazines and publications.
He was a curious kid - and hopes he will always be.
